What is TMD/ TMJ?

Although it’s commonly called TMJ ( Temporomandibular Joint ). TMD ( Temporomandibular Dysfunction ) pertains to muscles and joints that join the mandible bone with the jaw to temporal bone at the base of the skull.

Your lower (mandible) jaw is attached to your skull by temporomandibular joints and muscles. If your jaw is misaligned, it is strained every time you speak, chew, swallow, yawn, and even while you are resting.
