Owasso All-on-4 Dental Implants

Dental implants are placed at precise angles to take advantage of the existing bone. The implants support the prosthesis, which is retained with screws.

Are you tired of wearing a denture that keeps sliding around?

Lower dentures can be especially troublesome because they mainly rely on gravity to stay in place. Years of wearing a denture may have caused the bone in your jaw to wear down and become thin.

Instead of simply relining your denture yet again, you’re thinking about getting a set of fixed replacement teeth: the All-on-4 dental implant treatment.

Dr. Heng Lim has placed thousands of successful dental implants since 1994, and he offers the All-on-4 treatment here at Elite Dental Group. He can help you explore the possibility of replacing your loose old denture with a permanent set of new teeth.

What is All-on-4?

“All-on-4” is a term that refers to a dental prosthesis supported by just four strategically placed dental implants. Two of the implants are placed vertically at the front of your mouth, and the implants on either side of those are placed at an angle. The tips of these implants are anchored in the denser bone near the front of your mouth while their tops extend towards the back to support the prosthesis.

The prosthesis is a full arch of custom-designed teeth nested in lifelike acrylic gums, similar to a denture. But unlike a denture, the All-on-4 prosthesis doesn’t rest directly on your gums. Instead, it is fully supported by the four dental implants and it fastens to the implants with attachments that only a dentist can remove.

The All-on-4 technique eliminates the need for bone grafting because the implant placement takes advantage of the amount of bone that you currently have in your mouth.

When you get All-on-4 dental implants, Dr. Lim will carefully design your prosthesis and plan your implant surgery in advance. On the day of the procedure, you will receive your dental implants and we will attach your new teeth to them right away. This is why the treatment is also known as “teeth-in-a-day.”

Benefits of All-on-4 Dental Implants

There are several reasons to consider getting a new smile with All-on-4:

Your bite will be stable and secure. You will no longer have to deal with a loose denture that slides around and pinches your mouth. You’ll be able to chew food with ease and smile with confidence.

You’ll save time and money. Because there is no need for bone grafting, you can skip that procedure and the healing time that follows it and go straight to getting implants.

You’ll leave with new teeth the very same day. There’s no waiting period. You may come into our practice with a denture or a few failing teeth, but you will leave with a complete smile.

You will stop facial collapse. Dental implants encourage a natural body process that maintains bone levels. While a denture will slowly wear down the bone in your jaw, implants will prevent that from happening.

In addition to his years of experience placing dental implants, Dr. Lim also has special training in creating balanced bites. He incorporates this knowledge when he plans All-on-4 treatment to ensure that the results promote healthy TMJ function and support a healthy facial structure.
